Anniversary of Titanic: How was the sinking covered by Newspapers

The morning after Titanic sank on April 15, 1912, news of the ship's fate appeared on the front page of newspapers around the world.
The story, so shocking and frightening, appeared on front pages with a striking photograph of Titanic, coupled with huge copy announcing casualties. Headlines ranged from reporting that as many as 1,321 to 1,800 died as the ship went down in the North Atlantic ocean. The coverage of Titanic's sinking went from shock over the major loss of life to public outrage, as news of the ship's safety failures was widely reported.
The 100th year anniversary of Titanic has been commemorated in many ways, from ships offering Titanic-themed cruises (without the fatal ending), James Cameron releasing the film "Titanic" in 3D, and the auctioning off of artifacts from the ship.
Take a look at how some newspapers covered Titanic's sinking in these photos.

Human Remains Found At Titanic Shipwreck Site

A photograph depicting what a federal official claims to be human remains entombed in the mud surrounding the RMS Titanic's wreckage site has been released in its full form to the public for the first time Saturday -- in time for the 100th anniversary of the sinking, the Associated Press reports.
"These are not shoes that fell out neatly from somebody's bag right next to each other," director of maritime heritage at the National Oceanic and Atmosphere Administration James Delgado told the Associated Press.
Delgado went on to say the placement of the remains are very likely the remains of a victim who found their final resting place on the ocean floor.
"I as an archaeologist would say those are human remains," he said, according the Associated Press. "Buried in that sediment are very likely forensic remains of that person."
